Okay I reblogged and got into the entrepreneurship program I wanted. This WORKS
Reblogging for some added help for the coming months
Targaryen madness is not simply evil, fire rapists like the Mad King, it’s many different forms of obsession, jealousy, instability, and various other fixations. To the Mad King it was his distrust of everyone, Viserys it was his entitlement to the thrones, Rhaegar’s was the prophecy, even Baelor the Blessed was mad with his obsession with the gods, Aegon the Unlikely was a just king who cared for the smallfolk but he became so obsessed with dragons he killed himself and half his family with wildfire. Daenerys’ madness is her savior complex. Her belief that she is a divine savior who will free everyone, her idea of creating a new world. The writing was bad, but the idea that he savior complex would lead her to doing unspeakable acts in the name of her “new world” is not out of character or the realm of possibility.
Anon, of course they criticized Sophie’s fundraiser. These are the same people who photoshopped Emilia’s face over Rose’s at Kit and Rose’s own damn wedding. I’m sure they’re also the ones who sent the hate mail to Sophie in the first place (probably all the way back since season 1) just because they didn’t like the character she played and wanted her scenes to go to Emilia.
But I’m not interested in Game of Thrones discourse anymore. We won. Sansa got a relatively happy ending and Daenerys is dead. Her stans are still pissy - two weeks after the finale - because they’re in the collective denial stage of grief. Eventually, they will have to accept that she’s not getting “justice” because the story is over.
Disney: we vaguely implied that the villain’s toady was into him! :D canon representation!!! :D :D :D
Marvel Studios (also Disney): we had a nameless extra ask about his husband :) you’re welcome :)
PBS: The title character’s elementary school teacher will get married to a man on-screen and all of his students will be there to support him, nbd.
Okay I know this is a jokey post but it IS a big deal for PBS! Back in 2005, the Arthur spin-off, Postcards from Buster, had an episode where Buster visited a (real life!) family that had two lesbian moms. The episode never used the words ‘lesbian’, ‘gay’, or ‘homosexual’, just had Buster hanging out with this family for a little bit.
The US Secretary of Education at the time was SUCH a fucking homophobe that when she found out about the episode, she demanded that PBS return all federal funding used to make the episode. PBS only aired it on a few channels.
Marc Brown, the original creator of the Arthur books, recorded a video about how important it was to him that all types of families be represented in the show. PBS has been trying for 14 years to get gay rep and it’s important that we support the show since - as they say in the credits of each episode - it’s funded by viewers, not by corporations!
little mix’s cover of love on the brain is, in fact, the best thing that’s happened on pop music since rihanna herself.
as we all know I have terrible anxiety including getting scared of going shopping for no reason but I recently got a cashier job for the summer and it took maybe 2 days before I stopped being afraid of shopping completely because here’s what I’ve observed
- sometimes customers ask to leave something at the till while they run off and grab one more thing and when they come back I’ve already forgotten what they look like. if you go shopping at the same store two days in a row or even twice in one day the employees will not remember you at all
- if someone takes a little extra time getting their change/card out it’s not annoying, it gives me some extra seconds to chill out and maybe file away some loose receipts. if it takes a TON of extra time to get their change/card out it’s still nice cuz hey I don’t have anything else to do, I welcome that little pocket of calmness
- if they accidentally drop their change on the ground then I have something slightly more active to do than just continue to stand there like a mannequin (also I never think any less of them or mock them in my mind, ppl drop things all the time, it’s no big deal)
- if the machine doesn’t accept their card on the first try, I’m just thinking “alright, let’s try this again”; the thought of “this must be their fault” doesn’t even cross my mind
in conclusion: if you have a fear of shopping bc of anxiety, working as a cashier for just one day will immediately cure you, highly recommend
Is there anything more beautiful than women supporting women?
This is Philia, the deep friendship between Women.

now, this is what it would look like if people said: “girls will be girls.”
Ricky Berry and his roommate Philip Blackwell not only were denied service at a CVS in Carytown, Virginia, when they were in search of sliced cheese, the employees there actually hid from the customers and called the police on them.
Blackwell said there was another customer attempting to purchase some medicine for a bad tooth, who also couldn’t find anybody to help him.
Berry stated that a police officer showed up and helped them search the store only to find the employees in a back room behind locked doors.Source (x)
Y'all can’t be serious
The only non-racist explanation for this is if the employees were all made out of cheese.
if i see one more post accusing neil gaiman of queerbaiting good omens fans even though
- he’s said that he wants LGBTQIA+ fans to feel valid in interpreting aziraphale and crowley however they want to for the past three decades
- neil has repeatedly and publicly said that he supports interpretations of A&C being in love, queer, trans, nb, or a-spec its just that labeling their love is difficult because they’re divine beings not contained by human ideals of romance and gender
- that tweet going around of neil saying that fans were “reading too much into” A&C’s relationship was only a partial screencap of a longer tweet in which neil was supporting queer interpretations of his characters but no one on this site has reading comprehension or the ability to use google so everyone saw the incomplete text of the tweet and assumed neil was being homophobic when in reality that couldn’t be further from the truth
- the book good omens was published in the year 1990 when it was much more risky to display openly queer characters in media than it is now
- the show good omens was made as a memorial to co-author terry pratchett who died in 2015, so obviously, making significant changes to the plot gaiman and pratchett wrote together would be full of emotional hardship and grief for neil gaiman who is no doubt extremely upset that he is making this adaptation without terry alongside him. of course he isn’t going to deviate from the book since terry can’t approve the changes.
- there are a million ways to show love between two characters that don’t involve kissing or sex and good omens used every single one of them between aziraphale and crowley
- good omens already has many radical messages outside of A&C’s relationship (it’s literally a book philosophizing on the dangers of war and protracted conflict and questioning our understanding of christian theology. it also includes issues of feminism, anti-capitalism, climate change and pollution, and nuclear disarmament.) which cannot be ignored especially in todays political climate and to pretend that this show is as problematic as others i could mention just because neil won’t call two genderless creatures gay is reductive and frankly insulting
im calling the fucking cops
-signed a queer non-binary person who has been a fan of this book for over 5 years and won’t put up with any more fake woke tumblr bullshit from people who cant be bothered to do their research
